Refenestration: A Game About Rescaling Windows
Refenestration is a roguelike where your build revolves around the size and choice of your windows. Made for the GMTK2024 game jam: "Built to Scale".
CONTROLS
WASD to move | E to interact | ESC to pause | Mouse to aim and interact with windows.
WINDOWS
Windows are exclusive: their effects will be disabled if they overlap with other windows.
Increasing a window's size will scale its effects.
Hover over a window to view more specific details.
WINDOW TYPE: WEAPONS
When these are active, you will periodically shoot that weapon. Some require aiming, some don't.
WINDOW TYPE: AREA EFFECT
These windows will apply their effect to any entities covered by the window.
WINDOW TYPE: PASSIVES
These give you passive bonus stats when active.
WINDOW TYPE: DEGRADATION
These appear when you take damage, blocking parts of your screen. They cannot be moved or resized.
Any other overlapping windows will be disabled!
SHOP
You can restore health, buy new windows, and sell off windows at the shop.
You can also pay to remove degradation windows here.
MISC
Laser damage (blue damage) will ignore defence (both yours and your enemies').
